Who We Are

The Mighty Lion Band Boosters Foundation (MLBBF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance and support the music and marching education experience at Lafayette High School by fostering a connection between the band and parents. The MLBBF organizes volunteer and financial support in coordination with the band’s directors. The MLBBF is made up of parents and alumni who volunteer their time, financial support, or other resources to help support the LHS band program.

What We Do

  • Organize volunteers to support the band – we recruit and organize the volunteers you see at rehearsals, building or pushing props, serving food, chaperoning football games and trips, and much, much more.
  • Help purchase and maintain equipment, trailers, instruments, and other supplies needed by the band.
  • Help fund guest clinicians and technical staff for marching and concert / winterguard seasons.
  • Plan and organize key events for the band, such as Bandboree, Ye Olde Christmas, LCBI, Senior Night, and more.
  • Enhance communication between the band and parents.

Membership Benefits

  • Your membership dues are primarily a donation – your dues help financially support what we do.

  • Your name on our membership roll, a vote in MLBBF board and bylaws elections, and qualification, in part, to serve on the MLBBF Board of Directors.
